This project is A Tale of Three Cities of 4th Anyang Public Art Project: Public Story held at Anyang Art Park and other places from 28 March, 2014 to 8 June,2014. It was done with research about space and culture of New towns starts from Anyang, exhibit it in the city and publish as a book.

If we think 40 years of reconstruction term of apartments as the standard, the first New town which people started to move from early 1990's is just passing its middle age. Now it has a chance to look back about its whole life and think about its future at the same time. The first New town was born at the end of Korean economic boom, spent adolescence with IMF and put its step into the middle age at the times of collapse of subprime mortgage loan. The first New town is situated between the conviction from Mokdong and Sanggye and the desire of second Newtown such as Dongtan and Pangyo. As economic development was started, Gangnam Apartments which was constructed following Hangang river side were watching New towns appearing one by one. And, the first New Town left Gyeonggi province behind and located following annular outer ring road surrounding Seoul staring Gangnam. The first New Town mediate between population crowd into Capital area and the middle class in the middle of Seoul and Province. In return, they were promised the future of their children by taking over the high school entrance exam which was a representative of Seoul. At the first New Town, the Baby boom became the middle class and Korea joined the rank of the developed countries. The thirties of the baby boom went through the Korean economic boom and arrived safe at the first New Town. And now, the Eco-boom generation who is their children prepares upcoming the thirties using the first New Town as a bridge-head. The first New Town is the place that the thirties established their future in 1980's also it's the place of preparing future to the Eco-boom generation waiting the thirties. The destination point of eye created by following trend line of past will describe the present through each vanishing point. A Tale of Three Cities is composed following the form of intersection of the future from the past and the past from the present.
